My best friends wedding....

Sooooo... in December my best friend got married...
I made the engagement ring...
She gave me some pics of the wedding and I found these too gems...

The stunning ring (even if I do say so myself),
such a pretty photo,
almost looks like an advert for a bridal magazine....

And then my lovely, stunning best friend!
How gorgeous does she look?

Relaunch of the Fringe Arts

Last night [17 March 2011] was the relaunch of The Fringe Arts as well as their first solo exhibition, Book Paper Scissors by Keri Muller.

Stunning atmosphere.... Lovely Bubbly, great friends.

The "new" shop looks amazing and so very intimate.
I am so impressed with the new designers they found.

Pictured above is my stock, available at The Fringe Arts, Alfred Mall, V&A Waterfront.

And above are the lovely (and slightly crazy, but that's how I like them) owners,
Chantal Louw and Thessa Boss.

But don't forget the lovely art, Keri is amazingly talented!!!!
Go have a look at the new shop, go look at the exhibition while it's running and more importantly, go be amazed!!!

Friends, Romans and Countrymen...

Post Indaba has been amazing. I've gotten the most amazing clients
, you know who you are,
and have been busier than I thought I would be.

So I have to brag about this commission. This is a lovely couple I met at the expo.
They were married on Friday [11 March 2011]
and had this ring commissioned for the groom.
The ring reads the wedding date in roman numerals [MMXI III XI].
It was so ironic as well, seeing as the day I finished it I was invited to a toga party...
Anyway I think it's such an amazing ring
and the enthusiasm shown by these people when we decided on the design was contagious. Hoping to get more clients like this.

Design Indaba... it was rad

Design Indaba came and went.
It was rad!
So much work, but amazing experience though.
This is my stand... Isn't she pretty.... Feedback I got about my jewellery was amazing and so many new ideas for new pieces.
My next door neighbour was Oh Dear Megan, this girl had her hands full with people. I think she must have sold out on day one. Traded her one of my pieces for a ring... So chuffed!

But we also met the two coolest girls from Durban: Michelle Stewart (above) and Lauren Batchelor (below). Both currently finishing their degrees, I can't wait to see what they come up with in future!
And then there were my old favourites... my dear friends, Lauren Fowler from Lost is a place too, an illustrator and thing maker... I need one of her x-stitch hoops....

Pictured below is Chantal Louw (being a bit crazy) from The Fringe Arts... Their stand was amazing, I kept hearing the most amazing things from people about them....

It was an amazing experience and I really can't wait to see what's in store now....
