A rosary for one, but one for all

This little pretty thing is yet another of my 10 pieces.... It's technically a set, with a mens ring and 2 ladies rings together with this rosary. It's a contemporary twist on the 5 decade rosary... For those of us who aren't catholic... a decade is a set of 10 beads with a larger or spacer bead between them... this one has 5 sets of 10 corals beads with a silver chernier spacer bead adn is linked with wire head pins. the middle is a heart on a gallery connection the beads to the cross which is hand made. Sadly... I sold it to a very nice lady. Took a lot to part with it... The piece itself has been so popular that I am remaking it and making a set of rosaries for an exhibition that I'm planning with a photographer friend of mine.

This is my Rhino rendering of another of my 10 pieces... For those who don't know, in 3rd year you are expected to make a minimum of 10 pieces all with a common denominator, whether it be a theme or your particular style... My theme was very symbolic, inspired by music...

This is a locket, the actual piece is 1:16 to an actual violin (yes I measured). its worn on a 110 cm belcher chain and has a swivel clasp hinge... opens up with a little music note hidden on the inside and is strung with fine silver wire .4mm in diameter... pics of the actual piece will soon be up as well as on my deviant art page...

Rhino rendering

Well this is a piece I did for my end of year range... It's based on the emotion of having your heart ripped to shreds, which I know all too well.... This is a rendering done on Rhino 4.0, rendered with flamingo 2.0... I rendered it at 600 dpi and it took 16 hours to finish... the actual piece is made form sterling silver, oxidised and has fine silver stitching and a pink tourmaline "swiss" set into the top. the razorbalde is also sterling silver and is highly polished.

I'm here

We'll I'm finally here... after long thoughts and seeing friends make blogs I've decided now is the time for it... Just my general ramblings and my art will be here... but then how not erratic can I be?
